I have to beg to differ there.
Engines have been breathing crankcase vapor for the last 30-40 years with no problems.
The source of the soot is the soot (go figure) that comes out of the exhaust...
Apparently the Toyota cannot be tricked into keeping it closed with the resister in the line to MAF sensor like most other vehicles.
I got a delete cable for the Triton before I even picked it up...
