Try necking up .22/250 brass. Maybe in two stages using a 6mm expander button in your die, before the .257 one. Anneal first if you start loosing cases.

Hornady make a 87 grain spire point. The 87/90 gn projectiles in .25 cal are quite soft in construction. I’d call them a heavy varmit pill. I used a lot of them in the .257 Roberts and .25/06. Great...
