    Optilocks for Tikka M65

Do any of you gurus know if Tikka have changed their dovetail width/shape over the years? I'm looking to get 30mm ring mounts to fit a Tikka M65, does anyone know if optilocks would fit?

16.85mm ish I measured as the widest part of integral dovetail (17mm?) and around 15mm at the narrowest point (inside) . Think I need to knock the recoil pin out as there is no recess for it on the M65.

Am I on the right track or are there better options such as optilock bases and rings instead of optilock ring mounts?

So did you mount bases as well as rings?

I ended up putting a set of warne scope rings on the original dove tail groves on my m65. Was looking at a picatinny rail for mounting weaver style rings but couldn't get any that would line up with the screws

How do you find the warnes? Look like a fiddle to mount?

I find it a bit fiddly but it's not too bad since you only put them on once

Ended up getting a set of Talley lightweights. Luckily Tikka hasn't changed their receiver hole sizes or spacing since they released the M65 way back when, the rings fitted mint onto the existing receiver holes.
