The powder residue wiped off real well Dave, @ 200mm I'd have thought it would have burnt the paper a bit

Trick is to wet the target just prior to shooting.
    No powder burns.😀

The price was $400 aussie delivered to my door which is only a couple more than the ebay ones .
Just thought I'd let you Blaser guys know that there is an Aussie alternative out there .

I just thought I'd put in a post to say I'm very happy with the mounts I ordered through Gone Hunting here in Aus .
They are the Australian distributor for quite a few different brands of quality gear .
My mounts came via QGE ( a large gunshop in Brisbane ) because Gone Hunting don't sell direct , but Jim at Gone Hunting was very helpful in answering my many questions about the products they distribute , Both Gone Hunting and QGE were quick and efficient with the delivery to my home 950 km away from Brisbane.
I have no affiliation with either company but just thought I'd mention good service .

Never seen a saddle mount like that before Ken.
    Who makes it?

No I didn't Ken. Saving 500g combined with the cost of one, didn't seem worth it.
Tui man has made the receivers, making custom barrels for blasers an affordable option.
I am sure one of the stock guys like Stug or Jason will come up with a better and affordable stock in time.
You don't know the weight of that mount by any chance?
Can you weigh it when you get a chance please?

I just thought I'd show the rail mount that I bought from the Ebay guy mentioned here .
I'm very happy with this setup and have ordered another one exactly the same so I will standardize my barrels .
As a matter of interest I tried mounting a Meopta 3-9 scope on this rail with a set of old weaver low rings .
It was beautifully low and a great setup , but I couldn't close the bolt without the safety/cocking button hitting the scope .
That is seriously low for a Blaser , its not a problem as I wasn't going to be using those rings anyway ( I have some more Burris signatures ) but it just goes to show the multitude of different options these Picatinny rails offer .
