Don't know why but I shot an Adams Arms piston build and found the recoil impulse to be a lot less snappy than a DI gun

I agree, expecting any expensive item to be well made is ridiculous

    Depends on the DI setup
Mates gun almost yars fillings out, but my midlength 16" is smooth as silk even though its quite overgasses
Going to play with a rifle length 16 when I'm back and see ho it runs comparatively
A gun that drops brass at 5 o clock is also alot smother than one that puts it a 2

If the bolt could be locked back on the AR without removing hand from the trigger grip then I would say they are the dogs bollocks and I would get one, I probably will anyway once the new Arms Act amendments have been finalised if the pistol grip rule stays as is. I really want a go with an SL8 though. Might have to bite the bullet and get an E-Cat.

    KAC is $haha

Mega Arms are really really nice and do an ambi billet lower. They also made a realllly nice monolithic tube upper, but they stopped because LMT patented mono uppers

Lol they are the Ferrari of fighting AR's though. BAD lever is like $30 on Brownells, if you can get it to work without screwing up the bolt hold open you're away laughing.

That Mega arms lower looks the buisiness! Any idea what it would be worth?

Yeah the BAD lever looks like a quick fix. Pity it's operated with your finger inside the trigger guard.

    mine works gravy as.
the hand swap thing to lock the bolt back is a pain in the ass. the paddle switch still works as designed with the lever in place too,

Any ar I get in the future will get one of these fitted too.

If you come up with a nifty fix to this platform regarding this it would make you a very wealthy man

Too me its NOT about getting a piece of ART , its about getting a reliable rifle , and it took some work to work the AR-15 into a reliable system , from the ammo/powder to the twist , chromeline bore & chamber , to the chroming inside the Bolt carrier , to the barrel lenght , to different buffers , full auto BCs , different firing pins , etc , etc , muck around with any of these & substite cheaper compotents etc , and you get a rifle thats no where near the real M16A1 preformance .

    Later Chris
