I actually rang HRE about this and they said no worries you can tape over the end with electrical tape

You can tape a suppressor, it wont blow up but the tape may not blow off until the bullet has passed through it. This may or may not affect the flight path of any given projectile. Iv had differing results with the testing Iv done so closer stuff, bush hunting etc Ill happily shoot through it, long range Ill generally take it off.

Get the black 48-50mm pvc builders tape, tape the end then run it down the suppressor 200mm so you can re use it after the shot

Another option would be either a latex glove like the dentist wears, or a yellow "marigold" washing up glove. Snip off a finger off and stretch it over the end of the can, the finger will hold itself on and you're good to go
