The lads have some valid points ref muzzle brake. I don't have kids, so I may of skipped those points lol. I like the sound of the 16.5 however you would most likley be reloading at that velocity. Good luck with your hunting. Hope all goes well no matter the choice.

Quite often a shorter barrel can be more accurate because of the increased stiffness over a longer barrel.
