@craigc I have the latest steep country hunter, can’t fault it, holds a wicked edge - no chipping or anything despite my average butchery skills and just needs a few licks on the ceramic steel and leather strop between deer or two to keep it shaving sharp. Comfortable in the hand, blade is perhaps a little wide - not quite as maneuverable for fine work like cutting out the poo pipe. Sheath is ok - can’t wear it in a belt - I usually just have it in bino harness or pack. Did make the mistake of leaving in trouser pocket on hot day and not cleaning it - sweat left a bit of surface rust spots that are pretty persistent. Would buy again.
