Is purchasing at an Arms auction an activation event for the register

Is purchasing at an Arms auction an activation event for the register. The regs are not that clear, and if it does activate I won't be buying. Interested in your reviews and ideas.

I thought it was only if you purchase an arms items it would activate the registration.
Purchasing ammo or non major parts should not activate it as far as I was aware.

Thanks for the replies, I guessed as much I was hoping the fair wouldn't be regarded as a dealer. I was looking at firearm but won't now. I will still look at the other items though.

Just found the relevant info on the Firearms website about all firearms transactions being an activation event.

Indeed. Supposed to, but they have conceeded that it would be near impossible to check or monitor.....much like the accuracy of the register I suspect...

Question, how do we find out the details of the police arms auctions or are they a thing of the past

Cripes showing your age there. Police Arms Auctions disappeared about late 1980`s or around Aramowana (? on spelling) shootings.
