    Burr on ammo

    I brought a slab of Eley 20g ammo and thought I better patten it so I rip open a packet and first thing I notice is theres a burr around the edge of the brass. You can see it easily and it feels quite sharp.

    Will this damage my shotgun?

    No it shouldn't damage your shotgun.

    Brass is way softer than steel.

    That's why you use a brass or bronze brush to clean the bore.

    Way sharper edges on those things too.
