Fancy a TV gig for your Viszla or English Pointer (Auckland Based)

Hi Guys - The Missus has got a Talent request for the mob she works for as to whether there are any Viszla owners or English pointer owners in Auckland that might want to do a TV commercial in the next few weeks?

Training would start immediately and the Director has asked for non-docked tails. Please let me know if you are interested and I'll give your details to the trainers responsible for finding the talent for this gig for more information...

    Cheers All

There's a Facebook page for the Hungarian dog I think. Could try there.

There is a chic that walks a Visla in the Riverhead Forest from the NZDA gate entry. Stake it out CD and chat her up. She is quite friendly to good looking old fellahs but god knows how she would react if you ask the question wrong. Bitch wanna be on TV? could be so easily be misconstrued.

I could dye my Great Dane ginger, teach it to walk on its knees and tuck its arse up CD, it might pass for a Visla.

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

The breed is supposed to be docked, its suppose to be a hunting dog after all, tell the anti docking and likely anti hunting greens voting Jaffa director to use a labradoodle

Understand your frustration like you say its a hunting dog - However Directors only have to work with what whats in the brief - if its there specifically for a look they have to do it...EOS especially if already in the casting requirements. Its the dog version of modelling and you know how specific and out of whack with reality that can be....

99% of watchers will just go its a Viszla - rather than particularly we worried its a docked or non docked version. I'd rather see the dog there than not! Just Sayin!

I understand it. The director doesn't, excuse the pun, have a dog in the fight. Probably knows SFA about docking for or against. He does however have a commercial to make where if he or she uses a docked dog the PR department is probably going to have to deal with the letters from nutters about the woes of docking. There is also a chance, with some companies so bloody insecure, that if the back lash is enough the ad gets pulled and their agency never gets used again. Using an docked negates all of those risks for them. It's their smart choice and if you think it through NOT creating attention to the issue is, in this situation good for us, because a public backlash (and they do bloody happen even over stupid little things like this) would do US more harm that the anti-docking folks. We have a legitimate agenda... they don't, pick battles that matter. Good call on their part.

I don't agree with the nutters. at all, but I don;t see this as being any platform to intelligently stand on to make a point no one outside of gundog circles will get.

It is difficult to win an argument with an intelligent person! It is near impossible with a stupid person!

I doubt most non-dog people would even notice if it was a docked dog?

That's the point; dog or non-dog person, you only need one anti-docker to climb up onto their soap box.

I agree this is not a situation where debating about docked vs undocked will be productive; hear hear re choose your battles!
