I've used one for years on both my .270 and .308. They work pretty well so long as you have all the correct data for when it is sent away to be marked. Bear in mind the markings are for one load only...
Recall as a young lad not being able to get the bolt in my .303 all the time watching a deer. By the time I finally realised the end of the bolt had rotated out 360 degrees the deer was gone.
Shot 2 Red stags 300 and 320yards. Normally up to 200yard. 16" Tikka .308 125 gr Accubond reloads. 2900fps.
Often better pricing than the bigger stores. They have a lot of stock also.

Have used Canon gear for years. Have upgraded to Mirrorless now. Canon R7 and Canon 100-500 RF lens for wildlife photography. Lens is as heavy as my previous 100-400 EF. Both camera body and lens...
Kroil. Marine penetrating oil. Excellent on exterior metal work and bores alike. Inox is also very good.
Would occassionally not find a deer when shot spotlighting until the next morning. Guts in all night. Bit smelly when gutted. Full bottle of vinegar in the gut cavity and around attached offal...
$16 per week as an apprentice mechanic in 1968. Deer sold at about $30 each. Good money.
Rubber car tube. Stretched tight over length of scope. Can be flicked off with one hand. Doubles up as a fire lighter if needed. Go to a tyre repair shop. They'll give you an old tube.
As a suggestion if you hunt with someone else ensure they know how to activate the unit as you may not be physically able to. moreifficult if it's dark.
Pays to check the clearance regularly especially if bush hunting as fern or similar can get wedged in the small gap under the objective lens.

I'll just keep watching the forum and Gunworks.
Many thanks again.

Tui checking out a bit of orange.
I've been trying to get some for nearly 12 months. Usually from Gunworks in Christchurch. They've been on back order for ages. Perhaps not popular enough for stockists to order that weight but seems...
Have heard Temu is a dodgy site with people having their info hacked.
Allen Carr hasn't done stock work for years.
I use 8x32 Swaros which I can carry in the top pocket of my jacket or around my neck. No weight in them and super crystal clear. Excellent in the bush for checking a possible animal. The shadow is...
Suggest talking to Ken at 55six re Conotech. He's an expert in night vision. I have a Conotech lrf 35. Great to use. Range finder on scan is instant and magic.
I use 49.5gr 2206H behind 125 gr. Nosler Accubond for 2950fps. Loaded to mag length. Winchester brass Federal Match primers. No pressure signs . I think you'll find Winchester brass has a larger...
Has anyone used a Canon R7 mirrorless camera with the new R lens? I am considering the Canon 100-500 lens with this. I currently use a Canon 80D with a Canon L 100-400 lens which takes great photos...
Suggest Allen Carr in Paraparaumu. Excellent gunsmith. He doesn't work Fridays but is open Saturday morning (9am-12pm) plus Monday -Thursday. Easy drive to there.
