Thread: 22" .270 Win Load : Accuracy or Speed?

I chose accuracy over speed my 51.5gr charge of H4350 (2209) with a hornady 130gr sp is giving me around 2850fps and shots touching at 100 meters have tried finding the faster accuracy load but groups just keep getting bigger and the barrel becomes a flame thrower with a huge muzzle blast and that is at 3050fps. Once the H4350 I have got runs out then I might try going to H4831sc to try and get that faster and accurate load, have been told with my current load I may as well shoot a 7mm08 but hey it is a load my boy can handle it will be good out to 300 - 400 meters for hunting so who cares.
