    223 brass

What are people's opinion on 223 brass? What's best for value for money, but is still quality.
I've bought ex mil stuff before and wrecked a die popping primers out.
    So not interested there.
    Cheers

I buy Hornady Training Ammo (Brass cased) and just keep the brass. Can get them for just under $1 per round when buying bulk, and its good brass.

I've got a mix of Hornady training, Winchester and ex Mil (RG) stuff. I bought the Lee decapping die as it is a lot stronger than the sizing die decapping pin set ups. If there is a bit of resistance I back off and double check the flash hole count.

I got given a hole bunch of millsurp brass most is boxer primed and the odd one is berdan the crimp dose hold the primers in however it should pop them out with only a little more effort than a standard un-crimped boxer if its not de-caping easy pull it back out (if it don't fit don't force it in other words) I use rcbs dies and keep spare de-caping pins handy but I've never broken one must of resized 3000 once fired millsurps and found 100 berdan primed total you just gotta remember if it fells wrong it most likely is also don't skimp on the lube

if your real worried buy a lee full length size die as the collect system at the top will give (slide up through the screw) before the de-caping pin breaks then all you have to do is losen the screw and reset the pin hight and your good to go
