I'm not convinced this isn't just a massive piss take

    100% agree
Something a bit strange is going on there, I could be wrong, but it looks like that rifle doesn't want to shoot, but it's fluked an ok group

Try a couple of 5-shot groups at 42 and see if it repeats. If it doesn't, I'd be looking at the bedding; it shouldn't be shooting that badly, even with the worst load
charge weight alone generally won't shrink your groups from 4" to 1"

My neighbour's has a .223 Franchi that won't group better than a fist size @100 been back to shop they said it was all good. He has tried about six different factory loads now.

I suspect a giant piss take, I mean what novice pulls projectiles and weighs powder charges. The whole scenario seems like days of your lives of 1 step forward 2 steps back

I reckon the barrel needs lapping.....

Franchi are better known for their shotguns

I hadn't been following this at all until @Micky Duck asked if I had seen it. I battled through the whole lot over the weekend. I think I've learnt a lot but also questioning whether I'm just too simple with my 223 and 270 whakamole loading. Deer and wallabies have died so I must be doing something right.

Exactly. So much foreplay it would be un-natural for there not to be a climax.

Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.

No need to take it to the gutter, it’s just a thread about someone shooting their load.

That’s unfair on people who shoot their loads. This is a thread about spraying loads around.
