    Thx everyone for your help full advice all has been taken on board will stop using the 2206 .. felt that the 2213 is the best for the 270 from the beginning .
    The rifle is his late father's and understandably won't get rid of it . He may not use it for much Hunting just wants to work up a load .get it shooting straight .which may also mean a new scope ... another can of worms ...
    I'm just trying to point him in the right direction and give him the best advice possible
