Thread: 300wsm 130gr Copper

Shot three hinds during the roar, 200 - 250 metres. Centre shoulder each time. Pretty much zero meat available from front end after the 168 AMAX doing 2800ish fps has been through them.

Would a 130gr copper like a Barnes, going 3200 - 3300fps make the same kind of mess? Out at 300 yards they’d still be doing 2500 fps and am well aware of the limitations of most copper projectiles. I’d limit to 300.

Seems like a waste of meat if there another option available.

I reckon they would kill like lighting sub 200m at that speed. Would be bloody nice to shoot too! Could be a cool little load
