Thread: 308 from 7mm08 brass?

Hi, would it be possible to run some 7mm08 brass through the 308 full length die and load it for 308? Picked up a heap of Norma 7mm08 brass at the range and would love to use it. Any help would be appreciated.

Go for it but make sure you lube the inside of the case neck

I've done a fair bit for my .308
I annealed it prior and as above, plenty of lube.

I've done it and it works fine. You end up with a short neck but it doesn't affect accuracy. In theory it's possible to develop a carbon ring in the chamber ahead of this short neck but I've never seen it in mine
