and this is why folks have 2 loads...something cheap n chearful or blunt and potent for up close and a whatever tickles fancy for out long....99% of times you want to shoot out long you will have time to slip a few rounds out of top pocket.

Or just run somthing that works for both each to their own I guess, if purely sticking to inside 250y the cheap and cheerful soft points, interlocks etc will be more than sufficient, I run the 168gn eldm's as at 308win velocities it'll do near to far without any drama.

I’m running 150 SST with 2206H, very accurate, 3 shots off a good rest generally keyhole.
Haven’t shot beyond 400M, closest 15M. All drop instantly like a sack of shit.

I also carry a spare mag of the Hornady Sub-X I think 190g with a dose of Trail Boss, if there are goats in the area. (Marlborough)
Bloody awesome, you can smoke a herd of goats without disturbing anything even nearby.

I use Nosler 150gr BT's in my 18" 308 work awesome (factory ammo), would have got 165gr or 180gr if store had any at the time.

I normally carry 2 or 3 loose 180gr winchester suppressed rounds so i can single load a quiet finishers if animals is still kicking

Yeah less likely to have some wanker try the road rage crapp on you in a Cruiser.
