just wondering what rifle and the coal as I have a heap of the eld-x and havn't started development yet for my tikkas

I use Lapua brass, N560 powder, CCI BR2 primer and Scirocco Swift 130grn in my 6.5x55. 2600fps. Shoot's an honest 0.6" and just works.

Howa, I think ~82mm OAL, not sure of COAL.
The load is a fair way above book max so don't start there.

Run a 129sst in my 6.5x55 t3, 50 grains 4831 (compressed load), 2750 fps, will shoot under .5" when i do my part. Got some 140sst & 140amax which group good also just 2" low & 2" to the left. Always wanted to try some nosler partition to see how they go, but the 129sst works great, got a mate thats got the same rifle but his doesn't like the 129s at all.

I'm using the same powder but uncompressed (47gns). Getting just on 2900 using a 29" barrel. 2209 is pretty much the powder of choice for a shorter barrel for consistency. I've heard RL17 can get better velocity but has more variation across temperature (never tried it myself)
