Mines 18, think the precion hunter was high 2800 103gr. Reloads were a bit slower with 108gr, 2209. I can check when I'm home. didn't shoot much better than about 1.5moa. I'll look to try some heavyish targex next I think.

It looks good on paper, as it does with the 243. It worked very well in my 243 but just always have to be aware of it not being as temperature stable as some other powders although I've never seen any wild swings in velocity or poi with it when using with 243

Don't take this the wrong way as I don't really understand a lot of this stuff but aren't 22" and 6mm practically the same measurement? Well close enough.

It should work well I use it in the 6.5 creedmore and .260 I haven't had an issue with temp although we don't get the big changes like they do in some parts of the US.
Most calibers that use RL26 can use Hodgdon Superperformance

Why not go faster twist 243 and save yourself a shit load of Hassel???? You could still use the lighter monos which will expand even better with more rotations per inch, and those heavier jobbies will now behave.
    75/15/10 black powder matters

    Nah. 5.56mm vs 6mm so similar to 243vs 260 or 6 vs 6.5 mm. Or 7mm08 vs 308. 7mm vs7.62mm

    Here's load data:
    https://static.hornady.media/site/ho...ll-data-v2.pdf

The 6mm Creedmoor SAAMI maximum pressure is 62,000 psi

Going by this you should get close to 2,900 with a 105grn and H4350 (20"). Push the envelope further and you must be into dangerous pressure.

Ive found with my 22Creed that the cases (especially small primer) disguise high pressure well so you need to take heed of the velocities.

Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.

yeah I mean I don't care either way, they just look extremely similar rather than one not getting close to the other. I made a table since we're talking about numbers

Thinking of just going .17creedmoor to be honest, long as it's doing 1800fps impact velocity watch out big bull tahr

I'm not sure i really understand this whole new 22 cal craze, seems like oh look I made a 22 do what a 6mm/6.5mm can do piece of piss anyhow especially these days with well designed stocks and suppresors and easy peasy to shoot rifles
What numbers? I can't see it better in way

The 22 holds velocity longer which combine with bullet construction is the most important factor in bullet performance except for shot placement which would favour the 22 due to lower recoil. The 22 holds 1800fps as a safe boundary 50m further and is better in the wind.

EDIT: I see Gimp posted a better table. Nothing wrong with the 6mm at all id happily own one but I'd hardly say it wins in many places or beats the 22.

Yeh this is what I did when doing my 22. I know the 223 kills fine and could not in anyway make the 6mm make more sense except for factory ammo and a few extra bullet options. The 6mm kimber barrel was tempting due to cost and if i was in the states I'd buy the 6mm due to legal hunting reasons.

In my experience the 88 leaves bigger holes and drops Reds much quicker than the 108 at comparable velocities.

Excuse the rubbish handwriting, these were over a garmin chronograph with hornady brass. 41.5 had a slight mark on the brass fed large rifle primes. Factory 103gr was similar so that will give you a rough idea on speeds with a easy to find powder. Velocity a bit all over the show which was annoying. Anyway i robbed the scope for the 22 so will revisit it onedayName: 20250529_173607.jpg
