    Agreed.
I'd heard this was coming out and was hoping it'd be proper SA cartridge, basically a 7SAUM but with factory ammo and readily available brass.

I will admit, if this came out in a factory chambered Tikka where it goes well with the medium action mag length it would be attractive. So long as they do it justice with full length in the magazine and a long bolt stop.

even if they do make the mags a little short will be aftermarket ones available not long after or just grind out the block a little

Yeah, ive just measured up a 7 Saum case and a 7 WSM case, and compared to the 7 PRC print above, the 7 PRC sure does have a case capacity increase over the SAUM and WSM, but at the cost of OAL. However the 7 PRC would be nice if you were wanting to run 180gr + bullets and potentially be a better option than a 7RM in the likes of a T3 where mag length can be an issue with long heavy bullets.

The 7 PRC must have a similar case capacity to the 7 Blaser Mag eh?

The 7 PRC has the same neck length as the 7 SAUM too, which is longer than the 7 WSM

I’d say so they will come with fast twists to making them viable tikkas will still be to short from factory knowing them plenty of brass options for saum this will get better support than blaser mag unfortunately ultimately resulting in people thinking it’s better

Honestly hate this as was hoping for a short action. Read awhile ago this was intended for a long action. Biggest issue is the 180s are going to be even harder to find if they come out.
