About LinkBacksId keep it somewhat simple with 7mm SAUM at 18" (or more). I wouldn't bother going shorter then that, there's just no need as 18" is plenty short enough. Even my 20" SAUM is a very short handy rifle once its combined with the short action just like Keltons above (but not quite as cool).
