Or again if you haven't bought the powder yet, you could use boring old 2208.
Goes really good in my Tikka t3 7mm08.
40.5 grains pushes162 ELD-M at 2600fps from a 19inch barrel comfortably and it's very good consistency wise.

That was kind of the point of my post, it may have came across wrong. What I have found is you will gain about 50fps maybe a little more. But if you work your load in winter you may strike pressure problems in summer, if you work up in summer (which is safer) you could loose half of what you have gained in winter.
RL17 has the same temp as Win760 about 3fps/degrees C
And it's burn rate is around the same as 2209, so in short barrel the gains aren't really there.
But other people may have had better results in the 7mm08

@Rated M for Magnum what OAL do you use for the 162-ELD-M

Hi @winaa, 2.835" coal that just fits in the Tikka mag with no modifications
Thanks I'll work up a load when I run out of my 150 ELD-X
For those that are interested I have a powder temp/stability chart I found online
2208/Varget is listed as 0.13/deg F by my calcs this equals 0.24 FPS/Deg C
RL15 is 1.52 FPS/Deg F___________or___________2.7 FPS/Deg C
RL17 is 1.42/ Deg F______________or____________2.6 FPS/Deg C
CFE223 is 1.70/ Deg F____________or____________3.1 FPS/Deg C
But the only way to know for sure is to measure it with a chrono at different temps
