@chainsaw , I’ve got a heap of Hornady brass that I load a use for hunting . It doesn’t last as long but have found my load equally as consistent as with the ADG brass if I prep them all the same. But the ADG does give me more firings

I went to 70 grains, but it was definitely over pressure considering it was a sub 10 degree day and the barrel hardly heated up after 4 shots.

Yea I’ve got a load dialed in for 2225(retumbo) but have backed it off to just over 2800 fps but after heaps (like heeeeaps) of testing I eventually settled on ar2217(h1000) at 2800fps

Got the retumbo load as hot as 2950fps and burnt out some brass pretty quickly so scaled right back and found some good consistency at 2800fps with the 180gr eld-ms

I wouldn’t say it hammers but it is great... My 6GT is a shit tonne more consistent in speeds and group sizes (es:14 sd:5 ,10shot 1/2”moa) but I do get a fairly consistent 0.8 - 1.0 Moa for 10 shots with an ES of around 35 and SD around 10-15. After shooting it lots out at 1000y and further I decided to settle there as the wind was playing much more of a factor so focused instead on reading the wind better.

I’m about to try 2217 in my new SAUM so maybe I give that a go in cousins 7PRC as well.

Yep, it might be the combo of pills & powder I’ve tried in Hornady brass just don’t work. The load I’ve worked up in ADG brass with 168 LRABs which is very accurate I can’t duplicate in Hornady brass - even getting load to close to same muzzle velocity gives shite groups 2-3 moa. Where as the ADG brass with same pill & powder is around 0.6 - 0.7 moa. I’m trying another pill/powder combo with Hornady brass to see if that works out
