It appears an ADI shipment has arrived, I got an email so grabbed a kg of 2206H. If you are waiting for powder it may pay to contact your local supplier.

Seems to be a bit of 06h came in want last long.

Sensible prices too, I was expecting it to be more.

Grabbed a Kg while it was going - looking to have a play with it in the .308 that's giving me odd velocity and pressures... Bit dearer than I would like - but then in a few months it will look cheap!

Seems to be the thing with these powder shipments that there's never shotshell powder included?

Ditto Pistol......

This is my understanding of how ADI operate regarding powder production.

1. Defence is the main customer.
2. ADI ammo
3. US including Hodgden come third.
4. Reloaders are last.
AU first, NZ second.

High turnover powders such as 2208 are produced most of the year.
Low turnover such as pistol, shotgun are least produced and only 1 run a year or even less.

NZ is way down on the list, probably after AU reloaders.

Yeah looking at the date that was from August last year.

What stings moreso, is all over r/reloading on Reddit , is the US reloading fraternity displaying their newly acquired bottles of Trailboss powder... Shit one guy posted he bought 7 bottles of the stuff.. Where the fk is New Zealands supply?
Do we even get a quota these days?
Any retailers got insight to how powders are ordered / quota'd ?

Best available replacement for trailboss around at the moment I reckon is titegroup. Theres quite a bit of subsonic load data for it on hodgon website from 223 to 30-06. I’ve personally used it to load subs in 300blk and 300wsm with 190gr subx bullets.

Awaiting shotgun powder now for some years

An email from DeltaMikes was in my inbox at 3.00pm yesterday to let me know that 1 kg 2206h were available but didn’t check till 5.00. It was already sold out so stumped up for the 4kg then and there. Thankfully I didn’t hesitate as when I rechecked at 8.00pm, the lot was gone. Either they didn’t get much or there was a lot waiting for it.

GC Invercargill had only a few come in, I won't say exactly because that's their business but my 1 tub taken a big dent out of the supply. No more coming until March. I was a bit disappointed to see DM offer it $30 cheaper but I didn't want to risk waiting until basically the end of summer.
