    Diy brass cleaning

Prped, sized and trimmed all my brass, now looking to clean the inside of the cases. Only have 200ish so dont want to invest in a tumbler, ideas?

Missus is into rocks so there could be brownie points if I did get one that would do both brass and small stones

    My D.I.Y method

    Bucket of warm warm
    Squirt Dishwash Liquid
    Squirt Dishwasher Rinse Aid
    Tablespoon Citric Acid

Agitate alternating using a wooden spoon and cordless drill with a babies bottle brush in it ...
    Dry in the sun

    Works mint for me

Tumbler wont clean the insides and the powder doesn't really care. I wouldn't worry.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Compressed air will blow any filings out. Either via a compressor or a can of compressed air.

Ive also trimmed, resized etc a lot of .223/556 brass into 300BLK ... I just tap out the excess fillings and use the same method to clean ....

How much did you trim off!?!?!

Never been a concern of mine and I doubt it will have any effect whatsoever even if you put all the swarf in on purpose.

I've reloaded for years, never cleaned any of my cases inside or out, after chamfering the neck/mouth I just give it a quick blow (har har) and I'm done.

If your shooting and reloading a lot, cleaning/tumbling and sorting brass is a must imo.

Stainless tumbling is the only way to get a perfect job done.
Blemishes and flaws are easier to pickup that could cause untimely malfunctions.
