    loose metal in winchester brass.

    Discovered on second reload .This piece of brass floating around in otherwise normal 280 case. WTF.

    I've heard of it happening with some of that "Silver" cases (which are not ideal for reloading)

    Yeah ok. Have had split necks with that brass previously but first time with stuff floating around inside. Will chuck it all.
