Lets see whether 41.5gr is a load for 180gr .303 in any Mulwex / ADI powder.
From their 2013 handbook
Attachment 203980
Attachment 203981
The answer is: almost.
Max load for ADI AR2208 with this bullet weight is 41.0gr
and they list 42.0gr for a 174gr bullet.
But max loads for 2206 and 2206H are 37.5 and 38gr so you need to be quite sure its not one of those !
Next, lets look at whether the batch number is about right.
From my records of using AR2208 in the 303, I have:
1998 MEM3288 (packed on 09-96)
2005 MEM4146
2007 MEM4295
2009 MEM4534
I used different bullet weights and in different rifles so won't post here what they were. PM me if you'd like numbers, but I'd recommend doing your own load development from book minimum as above, assuming you have the right powder.
AR2208 did come in grey 4kg bottles and there was a post about one a year or two back here, so a person could well have transferred powder to smaller one like this for convenience, but you'd think the batch number wouldn't match and the actual powder type could have been way different.
Does anyone know whether all MEM batches were AR2208 ?
