funnily enough...there is an old thread buried in here somewhere about pet .223 loads and the 24.5grns pops up time and again....with 45-55grns the 24.5grns of 2206h was my only load for many many years....it just worked so saw no need to change it at all.

    Greetings @ Micky Duck,
The 24.5 grain load with the 55 grain projectile in the .223 goes back a very long way. It was in Nick Harvey's original 1980 manual and was for AR2201, a faster non canister ancestor of AR2206H. Some of the data in that manual comes from earlier manuals by Cyril Waterworth but my copy of the latter predates the .223. Nick persisted with the 24.5 grain load long after ADI raised it to 25.5 grains for AR2206 (2000) and then 26 grains of AR2206H (2003). These last two were pressure tested but I doubt of the earlier loads were. ADI still does list some data for AR2206 on their website.
    Regards Grandpamac.

its mild and very accurate in my zastava...1;10 twist I believe. it was the very first reloaded round rifle tried, loaded for me by mate.....and as it printed so nicely on paper and then dropped on spot 3 medium sized pigs at 150 yards single round each...I was hooked. it worked so saw no need to change it LOL.

Just the same as people did with the .222 Remington and the .22 Hornet before that.
