If you connected it to an appropriately rated lamp, the lamp would probably flash on and off. That is what the dashed line between the 9.0V and the 1.0A on the plug indicates. Getting a new plug won’t make 1/10 of a grain of difference. The only thing to ensure is that the new plug has a 9v output with a rating of at least 1A

Best practice is to switch on your scales 20-30 minutes before use, this will help them settle and stabilise, but once again it probably won’t make much difference.
