I bought a 300BLK rifle with the intention of using it suppressed with subs for goats in dense bush. I don't reload, so have been using Hornady Sub-X rounds which are supposed to be designed for hunting and expand at subsonic speeds. First goat I shot was a classic chest shot. Animal didn't seem to know it was hit and required a follow-up shot which paralysed it (neck shot), but didn't kill it. Ugly situation in my book. I have shot a few goats since then, but all have been head/neck shots. All fell over dead as you would expect, but I'm not overwhelmed with the Sub-X rounds. There are better projectiles available if you reload.
