    I use old powders regularly..some of my ICI Nobel powders are closer to 60 yrs old. They are sweet, fresh and reliable. Rifle, Shotgun and Pistol.

    Ball powders in particular are preferred for military use because of their longevity and stability in loaded ammo. How is it worse off in a carefully stored original container?

    But hey, whatever floats yer boat....
    You're correct.
    40 year old rifle powder and incorrect loading data?
