I have found in my 20" barreled .308 I get the best accuracy with CFE223 and Lapua cases, Federal Match primers and 150gr Sierra GK's. It consistently shoots under .50 MOA and can put 3 shots into .25 MOA as long as it's not windy. This morning I did a single 3 shot group at 200m that measured .685". Slightly larger groups with 165-168 bullets. Of course, every rifle is different and my Finnlight II is a very fussy rifle with regards to loads and the torque pressure of the action screws. The skinny, fluted barrel doesn't help either. I anneal after every shot and generally get anywhere between 4-8 fps SD. I guess that makes the AMP annealer a good investment for target shooting although for deer hunting at up to 300m it probably doesn't make much difference.

I bet now you have the amp annealer that you do every thing every time!
    I know I do.
I really reckons it makes the seating feel a lot more even.
If your serious about accuracy and looking after really expensive brass its indispensable.

Had the AMP about 20 months and I'm pleased with it. It's the MKII model. My Lapua and Petersen brass has had numerous reloads and still good. The main reason I bought it was to get consistent neck tension for better accuracy. It has helped me win a few a few matches including my favourite, the Taupo Big Balls shoot.

That's exactly the reasons why I bought one!

Nah, you bought one so you can anneal my 400 cases next time I’m down that way!

    Lol!
Except I watch you anneal them!
I only have 12 different pilots so you better let me know what ya want to anneal.
I might have to buy the Amp mate just for you!

If I had to get a pilot to do a mate's brass I would expect him to buy it and I would keep it. Just to keep it safe of course and to prevent loss.
Likewise if I had to get an Amp Mate..........

Oh, I figured you could do them while I'm off hunting and shooting!

But to be serious, most of my 400 cases are either loaded or once or twice fired, though I do have some Norma 243win cases that are five times fired. I think at most 40 cases, how long would they take to anneal?
