Thread: priming on an old Hornady press

I've been given the option to buy an old cast-iron Hornady press. It looks like the photo below, the guy doesn't know what model it is but it has "250" on it. It's an oldie, but comes with good reviews from a guy who was borrowing it. Anyway, it doesn't have a primer arm. Does anyone know if & where I could get a new one for it?

I know a lot of people prefer hand-primers, but I don't have one and a couple of very experienced reloaders have advised me it's better to prime on the press. Either way, it's an extra cost that I need to factor into my decision, and I may be better to wait until I can pick up a press that comes with a primer arm.

I have a later model than that one still the same different colour, The one in the photo is a Pacific reloading tools one Hornady bought them out
years ago the press will out last you no worries, A new Hornady Classic press will set you back $320-$350 at least check TM for prices on resocondhand
