You will also have to know exactly how high the scope is from the bore. If you have low rings and the scope is 1.5 inches above the bore and you are 1.5 inches below "0" at 50 you will get very different results that 2.5 inches between scope and bore. In this example the fist is level at 50 metres and will not rise as it is not pointing "up" but the second will rise,
According to the calc I use, if your scope is 1.5" above your bore zero your 257 at 40 you will be peaking at about 1" high at 100 and about 2" low at 200 depending on your velocity. That should be well close enough to get you on an animal at those ranges with confidence.
