I prepped a load of the RG brass today for a shot next weekend. Its actually shit brass, but it was cheap at the time i got it. I found a few that wont fit into the shell holder, and i scraped them. Next when resizing i use an RCBS small base die, and find about 10-15% of the cases have swelled at the base, even though they fit the shell holder, so they must be scrapped also. In the case of this post, it was operator error not setting the ram travel enough so the case never bottomed out in the die. If this was my ammo, i would simply run it through a neck sizing die, wearing the appropriate safety gear of course.
