Out of curiosity, does it have to be pins?

Having Dutch ancestry I made a wet tumbler and just use dish wash sunlight detergent and a spoon of citric acid for case cleaning. Still have to clean out 1 in 10 stubborn primer pockets though.

I have wondered if getting busy with sidecutters and a length of stainless welding wire would result in poor man's tumbling pins.
If you can't beat them, beat them.
They will be expecting you to join them, so you'll have the element of surprise.

Bought a 1kg bag from Aliexpress for about $40 which included shipping. Working perfectly well.

You would have to have very sharp cutters, maybe Bypass shear. If you deform the end of the pins they'll have sharp corners and squashed ends. You could possibly tumble the media with some abrasivr to try and tidy it up. Seems like more work than it's worth but it's your time you'd be spending so....

Sounds like more admin than it's really worth then. Will stick with the current method because it works well enough for my purposes.

To expand on that: round shot will tend to "pack" into the cases...

@rambo-6mmrem before you splash out on pins, have a go with just washing cases.

I use a teaspoon of citric acid powder, 1 teaspoon of the purple Palmolive dish soap in the 7lt Frankford wet tumbler

Dry the cases in a dehydrator (or the oven when your Mrs is out, haha)

Just did a rough estimate for my 2.5 kg of pins and there are over 62 thousand of them. You'll build some great wrists.

I got the ones off AliExpress, the ones you want are the 1.2x6.8mm. Working well so far, I hear what you are saying with the shipping times thou, could take a while. As others have said, dishwashing liquid and 1/2 teaspoon of citric acid makes the brass look like new
