Not actually reloading today, but a ton of prep work for a friend.
500 cases of once fired 92 Palma match brass .
From tarnished crap to like new . Wetumbled and annealed. Awaiting resizing priming etc.

250 savage with 81gr hammers and 35gr of imr 4895.
looks like they're doing 3240 fps but I only crony'd one I'll try
a few more and see how they group. Bloody expensive bullets to shoot targets with.
300 Win Mag, 200gr ELDX with 77.5 grs AR 2217 doing 2829 fps measured over the new Garmin Chrono. This is my back up load for the 200 gr ELDX with 74 grs RL 26 for 2844 fps which I am having difficulty finding RL26, hence the need for a back up load.
So far both loads shoot to same point of aim out of the 22 inch Tikka.
For the sake of 15fps I would stick with the 2217. Much cheaper and much easier to find.
Boring old 7mm Blaser Magnum and 175 ELdx needed so more crackers used too many the other night.

Had a go at loading some 1895 Nagant rounds. a mashup of M1 carbine, 32S&WL and 7.62 tokarev dies and we have potentially viable results
I participated, then supervised a couple of mates came round and loaded up 40 rounds of 270 win, 130 grain Hornady interlock with Win 760 powder and CCI primers to send them out the barrel.
another small batch of
21 rounds of Hornady 158gr XTP Hollow Points over 15.5 gr of tailboss in my 358 win. Estimated at about 1700 fps.
Great for 50 mtr plinking and small deer & goats. Last batch over 15gr would clover leaf at 50 mtr.
Prepped 100 308win and loaded 20 test rounds
10x 165gn speer btsp (same as my old load just swapped out to new Lapua brass from Sako)
10x 125gn NBT's (loaded middle of the range seated to Saami spec) hoping to fall on a easy light load for my daughter.

A bucket of .223 fun and upside down wallaby.
52 grn Targex. 26.5grn 2206H. 3,250 zoomies. Good for anything if you are careful.

I've just finished 120 rounds of 6.5PRC for a mates new rifle loaded with 142 Nosler ABLR.
Now some 7-08 and 150 ELDX for another mate.

I loaded some 30-30 with the 160 ftx and 32.5 gr of AR2208.

I then tested them at 100yds aiming at the black square using a rolled up coat for a rest. Good group but left so corrected and tried again.

That is excellent shooting right there
I finally managed to lob some 352 gn ribless pc (41.5gn 2207). Got 3 groups in when the wind was flat. Gotta just play the wind game when it's about and aim off. 45-70 will never be a target round but it's fun at 100m

50 rounds 357 Mag. 6.5 gr Autocomp under 158 gr SWC moly-coated lead projectile. I'm interested if the point of aim changes with the projectile being moly-coated as opposed to Alox lubed lead.
30 rounds 7mm Saum - 180 ELDM over 63gn rl26 white river LR primers
Some 145gr Speers in front of WW760 for the old BSA 7x57. Need to get it shooting again after a long rest.
Some 175 eldx for the newly built 7 PRCW with vihtavuori n555. Fire forming loads into a inch at 100m.
I loaded some 500 3" BPE
I'm already on plan C for this roar and the way things are going anything could happen.
So roll up some of these and then have options for plan D, E and F

This rifle will go to entertain the guys I'm supposed to be guiding, landowner and locals
They look the goods Akaroa! What mould do you use for those?
The basic Lee 450 Grain .515 mould
Sized .510 before and after powder coat
The .515 is for old worn bore 12.7s and 50-70s
But is best sized .510 if the bore is good.
All five of my vintage 50 cal rifles have good to excellent bores and like the same bullet and the .510 diameter
Just getting my brass sorted into batches before a big push to get some 22 Hornet ready for Canada Goose Culling on the New MoonAttachment 246802
6mm Creedmoor.
108g Berger BTT over Staball 6.5
5 shots into16mm at 186m
That'll do

Your onto it!

With the long throat in the 7x57's, it means you have to ignore the book and just load them up till they have the correct velocity. ""Correct velocity"" in a Mauser 98 or a modern rifle, is 2900fps with a
140 and 2800 with 154g. 160 grains at 2600 fps. (And if you think that doing the job of a .280 or a 7x64, then yeeees...your right.)
My Brno 21 has a long throat and with H4350 I have to load 5 grains over max to get 2930 fps.
7x57 data is essentially worthless. I use 7mm08 max data as starting loads for the 7mm Mauser, since that case has a little bit less capacity.
Hornady 154 SP’s with long bearing surface act like 160’s in my rifle. Max I can go to without pressure signs is 2650 fps. 760 @ 50 gns. Other cases and powders may give more but 760 seems to one of the top powders for this case.

140x 6mm creedmoor, 2209, 450s, lapua brass and 108s
50x 308, 2206h, 210m, lapua brass and 168s
Using handloaders facilites is worth the annual fee well and truly, 2x amp annealers, 2x charge masters, heaps of presses and never had anyone else in the room at the same time. Plus the added benefit of walking 10m to a 100m fully covered shooting range with targets, rests, benches all ready to go
What barrel length and velocity are you getting with the 6mmCM.
A very tame load for PRS as you can’t exceed 3200fps.
3100 and it’s 30” as it’s on a bullpup desert tech so overall length isn’t bad
