I got all my gear (RCBS JR3, Lymann 55 thrower, Redding scales, lube pads, lube, funnels, priming tools, dies, spares, spare pistol powder thrower, a great big pile of consumables) for $300. If you have an idea of what you're after and you're patient, then there's no reason to buy new.. Then maybe buy a new Dillon later on once the basics are learnt?

I have little second hand kit, it mostly seems to got too close to retail on TM to be worth the risk/wait, and/or looks shagged but sure you might get lucky, though I just got a Caldwell rock rest and rear bag for a good second hand price, $165 but I'd been watching for many months. I do hunt around a lot for the keenest new prices mind, I have to.
