I agree, NRL22 would be great in NZ if a bunch of the existing clubs could pick it up. NRL22 is not so easy to pick up for many ranges in NZ under our current range certification requirements (i.e. for most ranges, the targets are required to be placed against the backstop, or with the use of plastic drums immediately behind the targets.

I really like the look of the NRL Hunter 22LR matches in the UK. I'd be keen to run one of those here in NZ - just need the right property...

Can the NRL22/PRS22 match be hosted within 100m range with scaled down target?

The NRL22 monthly series is designed to be entirely shot on a 100m range. But it requires targets placed at distances shorter than 100m - which would be tricky to manage on some NZ ranges.

Tested this with 2208 and 109gr ELDM.

about 0.85moa for 10rd, speed 2716fps with SD of 7.4.

The 109s are in fact stable in a 1:8 with the jbm calc giving a SG of over 1.5.

I need to decide whether I want to shoot these for the remainder of the barrel life, with slightly poorer precision than the 108 Bergers but more affordable and better terminal results.

If by better terminal results you mean on animals I would go with the ELDM. If you mean terminal results as in competition hits and you want to better your scores go with the Bergers. The dead animal scenario wont know if it was a 0.25 grouping shot that killed it or a 0.5.
Where as the plate will not lie , a miss is a miss, and your score is lowered as a result.
You could use the ELDM's for practice and the Bergers when more serious.

So using science to inform a choice, ran the options through hit probability calculators.

These give quite different results because of the way they treat different variables and I have yet to test which is closer to "real" results, but the useful aspect of using either is to understand relative differences in modelled hit probability between load options within either calculator. Both tend to provide a consistent direction and magnitude of difference between options, if one option is clearly better in the WEZ it will also be clearly better in Plan33.

The modelling indicates that there's likely to be little difference in hit probability at 600m on a 200mm dia circle, with or without wind error modelled.

Considering that the use of this rifle is for hunting at ranges generally inside 600m, I think either is basically the same. so the decision must be informed by other factors.

Im not much for calculators and such @gimp The science baffles me, but the 34% figure? is that your hit probability @ 600 M on a 200 mm circle?

Yes, if you include a wind uncertainty value. 100% if you don't
