Be interesting to know what the dispatching method is here, can't imagine the folks checking the trap line strolling about with .22 but maybe they do?

Yeah. There are quite a few cat traps around the area. Even up past lake head. They are required to be checked once triggered. Unfortunately, the majority of the triggers are from Weka and hedgehogs but there are still a lot of cats being caught. From memory around 8 in the last month. General method of dispatch is a .22 but depending on what else is happening in the area the 300BLK has been used too.
