Out in the tall timber today, got two goats off-hand at 76m through the trees and about 30degrees down slope from ridge..the Billy stood still a moment too long and I got my cross on neck, front of shoulder - no coming back from that,! 150g Remington Corlokt from 7x57mm Interarms Mk X..a half grown kid kept stepping so took the kidney shot as its front half disappeared behind a tree. Another emphatic kill. When we got down there, mate took the kid's hind legs for dinner, the bullet had entered obliquely just in front of hind leg and basically gutted the poor little fella. I added his tail to the bag. Nice head on the Billy but small as was the animal itself. Left it on the stump. Nice to get out for half a day.

Pretty happy with this shot on Sunday….even better managed to retrieve it before the hail came…

Top photo bottom of blue where it was.

Bottom photo blue dot where it was shot. Rolled down hill to that spot.

Even at the age of 11, they can learn patience. (Theoretically.)

Sorry dogs, these bunnies are for your dinner tomorrow. Thanks for licking up the drips in the meantime.
