A few pics that I wanted to share with @Micky Duck . I went for a wallaby mission with my daughter on the weekend. Was an absolute mission battling gorse for an hour to get to one of the wallabies that I shot. In my mind the wallaby was getting bigger and bigger the longer I went through those prickles. Upon finding it in the dark I was sure someone had swapped it out for a much smaller one because it was tiny!
I made a shooting set-up from an old tripod which seemed to help when shooting over tussock.

Classic case of "ground shrinkage". Pleased you had good trip and managed to tip a few over. I will use my frame pack for shots like that but usually find I'm sitting with elbows braced on knees shooting across small gullies.
First shot at live game with my 159 year old Ball & Williams Ballard 44 Rimfire

Tonight's dog food sorted.
There are at least 3 Spaniards there, hope you got them all.
Evening walk with a good mate in North Canterbury hoping for a deer but ended up with three hares. Turned very wet-- great for the farmers. Trophy of a cast antler though, pity its old owner didn't come and say hello.

Bolts on the proper side as well
That is Moose - rehomed from here a little while ago. He's a GSP, and I'm working on getting him up to speed for deer.
He's huge though, and sounds like a clydesdale when he runs.
Last night I came across a rare example of "The Bug Eyed" species or rabbit. Not a breed you see every day!?Attachment 259766

Now we all know we are not competitive people who are into one up manship! But tonight I had pretty busy day at the office Bradley. Some of that shooting ain't classy, but it is QUANTITY! I couldn't believe has many FAT! Really FAT females were about ready to burst! I reckon I got over 100 embryo tonight! Happy days!

No Pics, But am getting on top of my seedling chewing hares. have gone from seeing 16 odd in my evening round at the beginning, to only 3 tonight. Took the 270, hence no pics, and the 3 all thought they were safe at 60-70 meters. They dont get a chance to think again.
