Thread: After a South Island Big Red

As has been stated, big heads can crop up almost anywhere in the lower two thirds of the South Island although some areas have better genetics than others.
The trick is finding the animals that haven't been shot before their prime.
Get off the beaten track, walk a bit further than others and seek out the areas that are sometimes overlooked by others...sometimes just plain luck is going to play a part in it too!
