Thread: Anyoe out there shooting 458 socom

I'm to far down the 458socom build to back out of it now. All I'm waiting for is the brass and my importer says that should be turning up in May.
What I have is a 30-06 M17 bolt action, 458 barrel blank and a 458socom chamber reamer, go and no-go gauges. Once the brass turns up I'll get on with the machining.
I'd be interested in hearing about your other options. I was originally going to go with a pistol cartridge 45gap 45s&w or something around that size.
