I can snap sheep no worries deer usually ok but pigs just about half the time. My pighunting mates give me shit about it.

I maybe haven't done as many as some people (not being a full time farmer for 30 years of my career) but I've seen quite a few videos on different techniques, particularly going the "wrong way". One of the young guys here doing massive home kill numbers tried to change to front hanging but in the end some sort of "muscle memory" did him in. And it's been the same with me, the large numbers I did under Dad's guidance has made it too hard to change.
