    yup I always found a personal approach worked on over 50% of cases - a lot flatly refused but a good yak around where and how many could be shot i.e their rules would be adhered to and coupla beers dropped of and an assurance that I would not be asking to often usually got a good response

    If you start having a nosey round at titles near riverbed it soon opens up a whole new world of hunting areas for pheasants and quail etc. Lots of Linz land has been nicked for farming. I know of a few examples round my place and the look on the farmers face when you tell him you know the exact boundaries is priceless.
