These are from a pretty cheap WildGame innovations camera that is about the same as the ones you see on Aliexpress. It goes ok just not great images at night. It does serve its purpose well though.

taking a single photo,on the hour every hour wouldnt really be a deal breaker if you use a half decent SD card with bigger memory.... most can fit hundreds of photos even the small capacity ones will...and if you sacrifice a bit of pixel count the number of photos goes up hugely.

With the limited research I've done, a good way is to set the camera to video rather than photo only, with the idea that they can pull the ideal photos off the clip anyway through editing on a home computer.

The model I linked is in stock in shops in NZ, but takes lower quality photos and costs a little more.

Now your next job will be, do you buy a quality $400+ camera and risk it walking or buy 4 $100 poorer quality cameras and cover more places. If you lose one it don't hurt as much.

Fully test your camera/s at home on all settings before warranty runs out. I would only buy a camera from a NZ based agent or online seller so you can return a faulty one.
Totally agree with dealing with a company-based here in NZ, we offer local NZ support backed up by support out of the US, best in the business. https://trailtech.nz

Been using them for years and it has completely changed my hunting. I'm now far more successful as I've a better idea of where and when the animals will be there.
Never had one stolen but I've had an SD card taken out of a camera.
In my experience the size of the camera is an important factor as to how visible it is to others.
