Tried them all. Springbok or as biltong in a stew is good. Buff biltong is great. Gnu (that's wildebeest to you!) is Okay. Zebra... Meh. It is mostly down to how the meat is handled, and the recipe.
Try warthog, kudu, nyala in any order.
My choice of animals would be oryx /gemsbok, kudu and eland or Cape buffalo tied for third spot.
